WELCOME TO FREE SPIRIT TREKKING CENTRE

Hi folks, I hope you are all well 😊

Unfortunately I am going to add a bit more upset at this time as I announce that free spirit will be closing the stable doors permanently😔 this decision is not one I have taken lightly. There are many factors involved in my decision and I understand it will be a loss to our wee community.
I have so many people to thank for their custom and support over the 8 years i have been in business, from people giving me land to use to the loan of horses, every little thing was much appreciated 🤗 I couldn’t have done it without my helpers, particular thanks to Nikki Sunter and Callum Armes-Harris who have helped me keep going the last few years love you guys 😘
Steven Corbett you have been a 💎, the early morning hay runs in atrocious weather when your just back from sea because you don’t want to see me struggle, rescuing stuck horses, your bravery for leading the BIG horses and supporting me when things got super tough, thank you 🥰 Olivia Corbett thanks for helping with rides, helping me back young horses and supporting me along the way it’s been a lot of fun 😘
I have enjoyed and had an absolute blast meeting each and everyone of my customers, the pleasure of putting someone on a horse for the first time and seeing the joy in their eyes to taking people for blasts along the beach and treks up the hills is something I will always remember. 🥰 Another special thanks to klb high school and primary school who have supported me since I opened the centre, it has brought me so much pleasure having the kids down, seeing how confident they have become around the horses, i will really miss having not having them down 😔
I will be keeping bumble, Cali, Frankie and noodles for personal use, the shetlands are going to a great new home with one of my volunteers Callum so I will still get to see them which pleases me ALOT!!
Paddy, tonto and Norah will all be looking for new homes when this corona fiasco is over, I will give details of them in a separate advert.

So I will end with another huge thanks to everyone who has been involved over the years, I can enjoy the horses as a hobby now and hopefully get a bit more saddle time in 😊

Much love jennie xx

We are a small friendly family run yard set in the most north westerly point of mainland Scotland. Just off the NC500 route, Sheigra and the surrounding areas boast some of the most stunning scenery in the Highlands of Scotland not to mention the vast array of wildlife on offer.

We have a variety of different pony trekking routes on offer with a few extras added this year. Our horses and ponies are well cared for and their workload is matched to each individual horse or ponys capabilities and fitness.
There are some fantastics peat tracks and hill rides for us to explore and enjoy the spectacular views from horse back.

Sheigra and the surrounding areas have lots to offer, from fishing, boat trips, spectacular walking and riding, wildlife boat trips, the famous Sandwood bay plus some other stunning beaches. There are some lovely places to stop for a coffee or a lovely home made meal.

We are on Trip advisor too so please have a look at our comments and if you have ridden a horse with us then please share your experiences with others.
Thanks
